Stirling Council Area and it"s boundaries.
The LEADER LAGs are seeking a provider to take on the management and delivery of this project in full. This project will cover the 9 LEADER areas Forth Valley and Lomond; Kelvin Valley and Falkirk; West Lothian; Fife; Tyne and Esk; Scottish Borders; Greater Renfrewshire and Inverclyde; Rural Perth and Kinross; and Lanarkshire — This contract will create a small team of crowdfunding coaches, based in Scotland, who would raise awareness of crowdfunding as a fundraising technique, run training courses for groups of people on designing and running crowdfunding campaigns and support a number of individual projects through their respective campaigns. Coaches will meet up, share expertise and work as part of a team, promoting Crowdfunding in their own area and through collaboration, supporting campaigns in other participating LEADER areas. This project is concerned with building capacity in rural communities, and to this end, we would want to see a level of support going towards those “hard to reach” groups, where not only will support be required to run a campaign, but there will also be the need to increase the confidence of those involved with the project, and sell the method of crowdfunding, where it has been assessed as being a good fit for an organisation.
The minimum quantitative outputs the project wants to achieve:
— 4.5 FTE jobs created in Scotland
— establishment of “Crowdfund Scotland” office in central Scotland,
— at least 90 awareness raising, training or support events held across the region over the 2 years,
— individual support given to at least 450 projects (businesses and community groups) spread across the rural regions funding this project.
The tender is for a fixed term 2-year period. It is planned that the project will start in November 2018, with the final financial claims being made by November 2020.
