Bids are hereby invited for the appointment of an accounting firm to provide accounting and financial advisory services for a period of three (3) on an as and when required basis. The Agency needs an accounting firm to review and advise on the following: • Analysis of the Agency’s nature of operations and the external environment; • Analysis and review of the accounting transactions in the books of the Agency and ensure compliance with GRAP (Generally Recognised Accounting Practice) Standards; • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, PFMA (Public Finance Management Act) and other relevant regulations on the reports generated, including annual financial statements; • Review of the quarterly financial statements and annual financial statements; • Ensure that financial statements are supported by valid supporting documents and audit schedules; • Review Irregular, Fruitless and Wasteful expenditure register and disclosure; • Review existing policies and procedures to ensure alignment with GRAP; • Conduct impairment testing on all applicable assets.
