Quotations are hereby invited for the provision of driving, handling and surveying services of import, export and transshipment vehicles (new & used) including abnormal vehicles (high and heavy), and related cargo thereto including cargo requiring specialised equipment, on an as and when required basis, for a period of 1 (one) months/less depending on cost for Transnet Port Terminals, Operating Division of Transnet SOC Ltd. Specifications: - Waterside Operations; - Landside Operations; - Additional activities - Value adds: 1. Due to operational requirements as and when required by TPT, the service provider will be required to make additional moves for minor fitments or technical repairs, movement, shuffling, relabelling and inspections by OEM’s and or their representatives; 2. No moves must be carried out without proper authorization and/or a booking from the Planning Office; 3. The Service Provider shall perform Ad-Hoc Services, on an as and when basis, when requested by TPT, or by TPT on behalf of an OEM or client of TPT. What is set out below are indicative of these services, but they shall not be limited to the following: - The placement of colour stickers; - The placement of port marks; - The placement of case markings and/or bar codes into vehicles and/or cargo; - Barcode floor and vin number scanning; - The car-wash services; - Placing and installing of tow-hooks.
