Scope of works: The objective of this lubrication project primarily is to: • Reduce friction; • Prevent wear; • Protect the equipment from corrosion; • Control temperature (dissipate heat); • Control contamination (carry contaminants to a filter or sump); • Transmit power (hydraulics); • Provide a fluid seal; and • To save cost of having to replace damaged equipment due to failure’s led by insufficient lubrication.
