The Gauteng Department of Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation calls for submission of proposals for Sport, Arts and Culture events or festivals for funding in the 2024/2025 financial year ending 31 March 2025. As part of the renewed emphasis of the 6th Administration for the Growing Gauteng Together (GGT 2030) Provincial Plan and the elevated priorities for accelerated implementation of service delivery, the Department seeks to invest in Sport, Arts and Culture events and/or festivals that align with wider government objectives. The proposals must include events or festivals that create a platform for: • Improved living conditions in Townships, Informal Settlements and Hostels (TISH); • Increased participation for women, youth and person with disability; • Generating job creation opportunities for women, youth and person with disability; • Attracting local residents and results in localised social cohesion and economic impact; • Growth in terms of audience, spectator and media profile.
