Proposals are hereby invited for the appointment of a service provider for the supply of private security intervention unit for physical security, armed response unit including ad-hoc services such as evictions, relocations and cleanup operations on the Western Cape’s central line to Cape Town Station. Bids are hereby invited for the following: Consultancy to assist Southern Africa Development Community member states to design/improve mine health and safety standard operating procedure appropriate to their country context. Objective: i. Conduct a baseline assessment of the legal frameworks for health and safety at work in the mining sector in 9 of the SADC Member States namely, Angola, Botswana, DRC, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe. ii. Provide technical support to the 9 SADC member states in the design and development of their MHS-SOPs as part of strengthening Mine Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures for the systematic control of TB, and other occupational respiratory diseases in the Mining Sector in Southern Africa. Specific objectives: a) Conduct a desk review of the Mine Health and Safety (MHS) regulations and SOPs for the 9 countries, b) Develop SADC generic MHS-SOP through a participatory process involving TIMS stakeholders, and c) Validate the generic MHS-SOP and develop country-specific actions plans to adapt and implement the SOP through a participatory process. d) Conduct virtual consultative meetings with country stakeholders to update the MHS-SOPs.
