The Norwegian Polar Institute would like conductivity temperature depth (CTD) instruments for measuring seawater temperature, conductivity and pressure, which shall be implemented on permanent oceanographic vessels in observation systems in Arctic or Antarctic waters within ongoing and/or future monitoring and research projects. The instruments should have the possibility for the integration of chlorophyll sensors and/or other sensors.
The instruments will be assembled on multi-instrument vessels must be able to tolerate pressure up to 1 500 or 3 000 dbar. The instruments will normally be used for one to three year distribution. The instruments must have sufficient battery capacity and internal data storage to achieve this.
