        The general objective of the contract is to assist the Commission in verifying the alignment or approximation of the national legal framework of candidate, potential candidate or associated countries with the EU acquis in the financial sector including Company law and financial services legislation (covered in acquis Chapters 4, 6, 9, and 24) as well as the area of competition policy (covered in the acquis Chapter 8). This implies assessing the level of compliance of the national legislation with the relevant EU legal acts.

        Specific objectives will be further defined in specific contracts.
