Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Fort Hood is issuing a PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE for an Invitation for Bids (IFB) firm fixed price construction contract to Replace Roof Building 33009, Fort Hood, Texas. This acquisition is 100% set aside for Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) NAICS 238160 Roofing Contractors (Size Standard $15 Million). As required by FAR 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the procurement is between $500000 and $1000000.
The purpose this project is to demolish and replace damaged roofing material of building 33009, Fort Hood, Texas. The contractor shall provide all plant, supervision, labor, materials, equipment, supplies and transportation necessary to complete this scope of work. Except as provided elsewhere in this contract, all work shall comply with applicable State, local and Federal laws and regulations, industry and construction codes and standards, manufacturer"s specifications and recommendations, and all contract special provisions, terms and conditions. All work under this contract will be performed within the confines of the Fort Hood Military Installation, at Fort Hood, TX. The Wage Determination: General Decision Number: TX170279 06/09/2017 TX279 Superseded General Decision Number: TX20160279 State: Texas Construction Type: Building County: Bell County in Texas, will govern work under this contract. The bid guarantee in the amount shall be at least 20% of the bid price but shall not exceed $115000. Performance and payment bonds must equal 100 percent of the original contract price. A tentative organized site visit will be conducted for this procurement 35 September 2017. Details of that site visit will be available in the solicitation.
The tentative dates for issuing the Invitation for Bids (IFB) 28 August 2017, BID Opening 18 September 2017 and completing contract performance 75 days after notice to proceed under solicitation number W91151-17-B-0022. The technical exhibits will be available for inspection without charge thru the Federal Business Opportunity (FedBizOpps) at https://www.fbo.gov. No paper copies of this solicitation are available.
